Mousercise- Day 1, step B |
|
CONGRATULATIONS! |
|
You've just
navigated from one web page to another!
As we mousercise,
you'll learn to move your "clicking fingers" independently of of
your "rolling" fingers. |
|
|
|
|
Check your grip and position:
Hold the mouse with 3 fingers at the
base of the sides.
Your left finger should be resting on the left clicker.
Your right finger should be slightly in the air.
Your cursor should be on the center of the screen, and
The mouse should be centered on its pad.
|
 |
|
Oops!
If you lean on the right click by mistake, you'll see a grey box similar to
the one above.
This is a context menu, so called, because the
shortcut options in the box will vary depending on
where you right click. Right click on the top or bottom
lines of your window and you will see that the context menu
options change. Context menus can be very helpful, but at this point we don't understand these commands,
so it is best that we avoid them. |
|
Right click and practice these two methods of escaping
from context menus.
1.
Using mouse:
Left Click an empty spot on the screen
2.
Using keyboard: Tap the Escape Key (Esc) in upper left corner
|
|
When you've mastered both methods, click the
hyperlink at right. |
